For real though, “Thinkin Bout You” is probably my favorite track off Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange. I’ve been on Frank’s nuts like Romney on meme lists, but I haven’t heard too many good covers or remixes off the album tracks. So, I was stoked to come across this. Not to mention, Yuna does it all with voice loops.
It’s really a shame we haven’t posted about Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange release by now. We knew it was going to be on another level after hearing his Pyramids release a month ago, Novocain a year ago, and so on. There’s not much more to articulate now other than that the 24-year-old has transcended his generation. He puts the world on a pedestal - more like a silver tray in a McDonalds bag – and directs our attention, for once, to something larger than a self-obsessed personality.
